Bushmills
While some Irish distilleries have increasingly used conventional unmalted barley over the years to avoid the malt tax, Bushmills Distillery has remained true to its craft: to this day, only unpeated barley malt is used for its triple-distilled whiskeys. The distillates are matured in quality oak casks from selected suppliers in Spain, Portugal, Kentucky and Madeira.
Bushmills Original
The recipe for Bushmills Original dates back to the time before Prohibition. The combination of our single malt whiskey with a lighter grain whiskey creates a light, smooth character.
Bushmills Black Bush
Black Bush combines malt whiskey with a grain whiskey produced in small batches, which is then matured in ex-Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. This recipe produces rich, fruity flavours.
Bushmills Single Malt 10 Years Old
Bushmills 10 Year Old is a blend of single malts matured for at least 10 years in bourbon casks and sherry butts. Spicy and fresh on the nose, followed by notes of ripe fruit & creamy vanilla.
Cocktail ideas
Classic Irish Coffee
- 3,5 cl Bushmills Original
- 1,5 cl Demarara sugar syrup (2:1)
- 10 cl freshly brewed filter coffee
- whipped cream
Pour all the ingredients into an Irish coffee glass and layer with lightly whipped fresh cream. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg if desired.
Black Old Fashioned
- 6 cl Bushmills Black Bush
- 1,5 cl Demarara sugar syrup
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until the drink is well chilled. Strain into a tumbler with large ice cubes. Garnish with orange zest and a cherry.
