Torabhaig<\/h2>
Torabhaig Distillery is an authentic reflection of the wild landscape and climate of the Isle of Skye. The distillery is conscious of its responsibility as the second licensed distillery on the Isle of Skye. Located in an abandoned farmhouse with walls of stone from the ruins of Camus Castle, the distillery is deeply rooted in the island. With a team of nine distillers, some from outside the industry, the aim was to create a whisky with an unmistakable peaty taste that expressed the distillery’s distinctive style. The result is a flavour profile known as Well-Tempered Peat, which will help shape the future of Torabhaig.<\/div>\n

This uniquely elegant whisky is distilled from carefully tamed, heavily peated grain. Matured in Bourbon, American oak, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, it develops a rich flavour with sweet and spicy nuances, influenced by a hint of sherry. Torabhaig Sound of Sleat<\/h2>

The limited-edition Sound of Sleat is named after the strip of sea off our distillery that separates our home island from the mainland. This single malt is made from a blend of Concerto and Laureate malted barley, containing 78 ppm of phenols in the grain and 14.5 ppm in the glass. It is fermented with Pinnacle mg+ yeast and matured exclusively in American Quercus Alba oak barrels. This elegant whisky is slightly spicy with a fine aroma of pipe tobacco and light orange notes.
