135\u00b0 East Gin<\/h2>
135\u00b0 East Gin is a gin inspired by the Taisho era, a time when Eastern culture merged with Western customs. It takes its name from the longitude of 135\u00b0 East, which passes through the city of Akashi – the location of Japan’s standard time.
\nMaster distiller Kimio Yonezawa has taken the three traditional botanicals of London Dry Gin and blended them with five Japanese botanicals to create a harmonious and well-rounded spirit. The botanicals that make up 135\u00b0 East Gin are carefully sourced from local producers.
\nEach ingredient is distilled separately, using the best method to preserve its unique characteristics. One method is vacuum distillation, which is also used in the production of luxury perfumes. A touch of sake perfects this work of art, which awakens the senses and evokes the unexpected, while remaining true to the spirit of traditional gin. The added Junmai Sake is made from the ‘King of Rice’ – Yamadanishiki rice – paying tribute to the heart of Japanese history and cuisine. Once distilled, it has a unique delicacy that gently envelops and accompanies the 5 Japanese botanicals.<\/div>\n
